- Environmental
100,000 saplings on the hills of Solang Village
in the Himalayas. Will protect them for 3 years
after. Cost of funds required is approximately
Rs 15,00,000.This cost will be towards saplings,
transportation, making pits, barbed wire fencing
and maintenance for 3 years.The Forest department
has given an approval in principle subject to
availability of funds.
- Community Centre
A Community Centre plan has been ongoing for
many years. We have currently constructed up
to plinth level with a donation from Jock &
Rachel Goodall (UK). Dormitory, Classroom, toilet
block, kitchen and dining have been completed.
Two dormitories with toilet blocks, 4 classrooms,
storerooms, library, guestroom are to be constructed.
This cost is estimated to be Rs.25,00,000. The
plan for this centre is to start a vocational
guidance and training service for girls. Skills
like Dhurri-making, screen-printing, and trades
like plumbing, electrical and masonry will be
imparted.
